This in-person conference is a joint endeavour between RC56, the Norbert Elias Foundation, University College Cork, and the Social Pathologies of Contemporary Civilization Research Network.

Knowing Justice in the Anthropocene

The 5th ISA Forum of Sociology is the first ISA Forum to be held in the region and specifically in a country that is known for being at the crossroads of civilizations spanning the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Africa. The Forum will bring together sociologists from around the world to unpack this complex theme. Our point of departure lies in the recognition of the Anthropocene and the environmental concerns that accompany it.
